Since the launch of the new vaccine programme on June 21st, the nation has witnessed fewer Covid jabs on Sundays. On June 27, India saw 17,15,971 corona shots. On July 4, the numbers further slumped with CoWin data showing 14,77,828 jabs. While there are no clear-cut answers as to why there is such as drop in vaccinations on Sundays, the last two weeks definitely shows a pattern. Meanwhile, in a relief for the National Capital, the number of active cases fell below 1,000-mark for the first time in over a year.
