Rhea Chakraborty survived 28 days in jail with the help of yoga, reveals her lawyer

After spending 28 days in prison, Rhea Chakraborty was released from Mumbai’s Byculla jail on Wednesday. She was fgranted bail by Bombay High Court, while her brother Showik Chakraborty’s bail plea was rejected. Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that she took help of yoga to survive in jail. The actress also conducted yoga classes for other inmates, revealed the lawyer.

Satish Maneshinde said that Rhea made attempts to stay positive during her time in the jail. In an interview to NDTV, the senior lawyer said, “I personally went to a jail to see a client after so many years, because she was hounded, and I wanted to see the condition that she was in. I was fortunate to see that she was in good spirits. She looked after herself in the jail. She used to conduct yoga classes for herself and her jail inmates. She adjusted herself in the jail. She could not get home food because of the pandemic, she lived with the inmates as if she was a commoner. Being an army girl, she fought the conditions like a battle, and she is ready to face any person who is trying to accuse her and harm her interests.”

The lawyer said that the reason why Rhea Chakraborty was hounded because Sushant Singh Rajput’s family was ‘very vindictive’ towards her. He added, “The reason that she was hounded, was just because the family was after her. I don’t know for what reason, the family seems to be very vindictive as far as Rhea Chakraborty is concerned. I’ve been saying that the central agencies – the CBI, the NCB, the ED – have been hounding her only because she was the housewife or the live-in partner of this gentleman.”

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, had filed a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty and others at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police Station. In his complaint, KK Singh accused Rhea of abetment of suicide of Sushant and siphoning of Rs 15 crore from the late actor’s bank account.

Calling Rhea Chakrborty a ‘Bengal Tigress”, Satish Maneshinde said that she would ‘fight back’ to restore her tarnished image.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the NCB on September 9 for allegedly procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput.

While Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail by the Bombay High Court, she will have to report every day for 10 days to Mumbai Police and before the NCB once in a month for the next six months. She also had to submit a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh for the bail. Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager, Samuel Miranda and drug peddler, Abdel Basit Parihar, remain in jail.
