Following his visit to rain-affected areas in parts of Telangana, Minister KTR instructed officials to submit proposals on setting up pipelines and sewer systems to avoid floods.

Telangana’s Municipal and Urban Development Minister KTR faced protest when he visited Hyderabad’s flood-affected areas to review relief operations. In one of the affected areas, when a youth tried to convey his plight to KTR, he had to be removed by the Minister’s security.
The Minister, who is CM KCR’s son, told officials to launch sanitation and disinfection drives to prevent the spread of water- and vector-borne diseases.
KTR told officials to station 104 vehicles in various locations to cater to healthcare needs and also stock adequate medicines and disinfectants. KTR also asked them to arrange 50,000 bed sheets for the needy in all relief shelters.
KTR visited Nallakunta, Musheerabad, Amberpet and Tolichowki and interacted with residents and assured them that all necessary measures were being taken by his government to bring normalcy in the areas.

KTR instructed officials to submit proposals on setting up pipelines and sewer systems to avoid floods in future. MP Asaduddin Owaisi, MLAs Muta Gopal and Kaleru Venkatesh and senior officials were present.
In another incident, TRS Uppal MLA B Subhas Reddy was grilled by angry women when he went on a boat ride to review the flood situation in residential areas under his constituency.
Chief Minister KCR also held a review meeting and declared that due to heavy rains and flash floods, the state has suffered losses worth Rs 5,000 crore.
CM KCR also wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi and urged the Centre to release Rs 1,350 crore immediately for rehabilitation and relief works.
