'Irony died': BJP after Congress's Siddaramaiah takes luxury jet to seek drought aid

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday criticised Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for travelling in a private jet while the state is facing a drought-like situation.

This comes after Karnataka Congress minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan posted a video of himself along with Siddaramiah on board the aircraft. In the video, the minister is seen posing at different spots inside the jet.

BJP leader Amit Malviya took to Twitter to tear into the congress party over the party’s crowdfunding campaign, and said Siddaramaiah and Zameer Ahmed Khan had ‘happy moments’ traveling together to Delhi, to seek funds for drought relief.

“On the one hand, Congress is pretending to crowdfund and didn’t even serve samosas in I.N.D.I Alliance meeting, on the other, Zameer Ahmed Khan, Cabinet Minister for Housing, Waqf and Minority Affairs in Karnataka Govt, is flaunting his pictures with CM Siddaramaiah in a private jet. They apparently had ‘happy moments’ traveling together to Delhi, to seek funds for drought relief. Irony died a million times. Karnataka is reeling under mis-governance but Congress’s loot must continue,” Amit Malviya tweeted.
