Hyundai Motor India recently revised the 2020 Creta prices, following which the starting price of the vehicle has come down by Rs 17,000, while the top-of-the-line variant has become dearer by Rs 12,000. We are well aware that the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos are engaged in a fierce battle for supremacy in the SUV segment. Both of them are well ahead of their rivals in terms of sales. Now that the 2020 Creta prices have been rejigged, let us check out how the siblings stack up against each other in terms of prices (petrol and diesel).
The Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos are equipped with the same three engines — 1.4-litre T-GDI petrol (140PS and 242Nm), 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115PS and 144Nm) and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel (115PS and 250Nm). In both the SUVs, the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill has 6-speed MT and IVT automatic options and the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel motor has 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT options. However, the 1.4-litre T-GDI petrol engine comes mated only to a 7-speed DCT automatic in the Creta, while the Seltos has 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT automatic options with the same engine.
