The Tamil Nadu Public Health Department recorded five fresh COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, bringing up the tally of those under treatment to 62. In a day 4,300 persons underwent RT-PCR test. So far, 6,96,15,430 persons have been tested.
A total of 16 patients were discharged after recovering from the infection. No casualties were reported among those undergoing the treatment. Till date, 35,72,361 persons have recovered, according to the daily bulletin.
