Dawood Ibrahim’s 7 Maharashtra properties to be auctioned on Nov 10

Seven more properties of underworld don and globally designated terrorist Dawood Ibrahim will be auctioned on November 10, under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act (SAFEMA), officials have confirmed.

This is said to be the largest auction of Dawood Ibrahim‘s properties in Maharashtra. The auction will be conducted over video conferencing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Six properties are located at Mumbake village in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. They are:

1. 27 gunthas of land with reserve price of Rs 2,05,800

2. 29.30 gunthas of land with reserve price of Rs 2,23,300

3. 24.90 gunthas of land with reserve price of Rs 1,89,800

4. 20 gunthas of land with reserve price of Rs 1,52,500

5. 18 gunthas of land with reserve price of Rs 1,38,000

6. 27 gunthas of land and building no 172 with reserve price of Rs 5,35,800

Another property of Dawood Ibrahim that will be auctioned is 30 gunthas of land along with a structure in Lotevillage, Khed. The reserve price for this land is Rs 61,48,100.

All properties can be inspected by prospective bidders on November 2, 2020, while maintaining social distancing and adhering to all precautions in place to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last year, authorities had auctioned a flat in Nagpada which was said to be of Dawood’s sister late Haseena Parkar.

Dawood’s 3 other properties in that area were bought by Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust in a similar auction in 2017. This time, Dawood’s henchman Iqbal Mirchi’s property has been put on auction too.

Dawood Ibrahim is the prime accused in the February-March 1993 serial blasts that killed over 150 people in the then Bombay and is believed to be living in Karachi. He has massive properties worth billions spread across India, Britain, Spain, Morocco, Turkey, Australia, Cyprus and the UAE.
