The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released the first list of its candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls. The list names 27 candidates for the seats going to polls in the first phase on October 28.
Among the notable candidates is the international shooter Shreyasi Singh, who recently joined the BJP. Shreyasi Singh has been given a ticket from the Jamui constituency.

The list also includes former MP Hari Manjhi, who will contest the Bihar Assembly Elections from Bodhgaya.

All the candidates are for the election’s first phase in which 71 seats of the 243-member assembly will go to polls.
The party released the list after the ruling NDA announced its seat-sharing formula for the Bihar assembly polls under which JD(U) will contest on 122 seats and BJP 121.
