NHS England’s medical director for primary care says it’s crucial to get more patients the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
But Dr Nikita Kanani said the vaccine programme was “a marathon not a sprint”.
The government previously announced it would be delaying the rollout of the second coronavirus jab for patients, in order to offer more people the first dose.
