Hyderabad: Fitcop app launched for cops to monitor health parameters – ET HealthWorld

Hyderabad: To track and improve the health condition of its personnel, the Hyderabad police launched the Fitcop app on Friday.

The mobile application was developed keeping three factors Diagnose, Develop and Do – in view. Every police officer will be diagnosed based on the medical parameters, while the Helping Hand Foundation will develop a road map for each policeman to get rid of the medical comorbidities. The app also maps them to a dietician, physical training instructor or counsellor or doctor through in-app chat/call service.

“The post-facto analysis revealed that 60 percent of staff are suffering from life-style diseases and BMIs are beyond reasonable limits. Taking cue from these statistics, we envisioned to put up a monitoring mechanism which ensures results.” Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand said in a press note.

Homeguards, constables and others were among the network of more than 1,300 officers who participated in the beta testing of the app shared their testimonials.
