New Delhi: In the wake of a surge in Covid cases, two-wheeler maker on Tuesday said it will “halt operations temporarily” at all its manufacturing facilities.
Hero Moto said it will utilise the shutdown days to carry out maintenance work at plants. “The shutdown will not impact the company’s ability to meet the demand, which has been impacted due to localised shutdowns in many states and production loss will be compensated during the remainder of the quarter,” the company said.
Hero said that each plant and global parts centre will remain shut for four days, in a staggered manner between April 22-May 1.
