Samsung
Up to $100 off unlocked models, more with trade-in
Though there’s a new generation of Samsung’s unique Z-series foldable phones now available, the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra are still the latest phones in its flagship lineup. And with multiple models claiming spots on our list of the best phones overall for 2023, they’re some of the finest Android phones on the market. Whether you’re looking to snag the basic Galaxy S23 or upgrade to the high-end S23 Ultra, there’s still no reason to spend more than you have. That’s why below we’ve rounded up some of the very best deals from both carriers and retailers that you can shop right now.
Unveiled at the company’s last Unpacked event earlier in the year, Samsung’s refreshed Galaxy S lineup includes the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra. All three models retain the same screen sizes as the 2022 models at 6.1, 6.6 and 6.8 inches, respectively, with a refined external design and some modest upgrades to the camera hardware, battery sizes and internal storage of the larger two models. A special version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor powers the new phones and is optimized for the new Galaxy S23 lineup, which we found in our tests to have much faster performance than the S22.
Whether you’re excited to get your hands on one of Samsung’s flagship phones, or maybe it’s just time to upgrade from an older phone, we’ll help you save some cash on your S23 purchase. Note that the below deals and bonuses are all limited in time and could change at a moment’s notice.

How much does the Galaxy S23 cost?
The three models of the Galaxy S23 are available in various storage configurations. US pricing for each model starts at:
- Samsung Galaxy S23: $800
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: $1,000
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: $1,200
Note that Samsung has improved the base storage for the Galaxy S23 Plus and S23 Ultra, doubling it to 256GB instead of the 128GB found in the S22 models. The base-spec Galaxy S23 model remains at 128GB, however. Both the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus offer 8GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM.
What colors does the Galaxy S23 come in?
As always, Samsung has clothed its latest phones in an attractive array of colors. This time, there’s a selection of nature-inspired colors including phantom black, cream, green and lavender. All three S23 phones are available in those four colors regardless of where you buy them from, though Samsung is also offering four colors exclusive to its own online store. Those colors are lime, graphite, sky blue and red.
Best Galaxy S23 deals
Samsung has some incredible offers that can save you hundreds on its Galaxy S23 series phones at the moment. There are direct discounts that save you $50 on the basic S23, and $100 on the S23 Plus and Ultra — with no trade-in required. And if you do have an old device to trade in, you can save up to $615 on the basic S23 and S23 Plus, or up to $750 on the S23 Ultra. The latest iPhones will net you the biggest discount, but Samsung accepts phones from other brands, as well as tablets and smartwatches for smaller discounts.
Samsung is offering some other bonuses as well, including up to $230 off the new Galaxy Tab S9, $240 off a Galaxy Watch 6 and $180 off a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro when bundled with the purchase. Just note that the discounts vary a bit depending on which phone you get. Plus, many of these offers can be further enhanced with discounts for students, educators, first responders, government workers and military members, veterans and their families (see Samsung’s site for discount details).
Best Buy isn’t offering any straightforward discounts on unlocked models of the Galaxy S23 series right now, but you can save $250 on the basic S23, $350 on the S23 Plus and $450 on the S23 Ultra with same-day activation on a qualifying service plan at Verizon, Google Fi or AT&T. And AT&T customers will save an extra $100 if it’s a new line or account.
If you have an old phone to trade in, you can save up to $1,000 on Verizon models, and up to $800 on AT&T models with qualified activation on a service plan as well. If you do have your heart set on an unlocked model, the tech retailer does have its own trade-in program where you can save up to $650, with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount.
Verizon is offering both new and existing customers a chance to save on Galaxy S23 phones at the moment. If you’re after the basic Galaxy S23, you can pick it up for free when adding a new line on an Unlimited Plus plan. Or you can save up to $1,000 on the S23 Plus or Ultra with an eligible trade-in and a new line on a qualifying 5G unlimited plan.
Plus, existing Verizon customers who qualify for an upgrade can still save up to $800 on all three models with an eligible trade-in, which still scores you the basic Galaxy S23 for free. Verizon is also offering some bonuses to both new and existing customers. You can save $670 on a Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G and $350 on a Galaxy Watch 6 with the purchase, though you’ll need a service plan for these new devices as well.
Buy your Galaxy S23 device on a qualifying installment agreement with AT&T and trade in your old device for up to $800 off, which scores you the basic S23 for free. To get the full discount, your device needs to be valued at just $35 or more, which even includes old and damaged devices. The discount will be applied via monthly bill credits over 36 months.
T-Mobile is offering both new and existing customers quite a few ways to save on the S23 series right now. Those adding a new line of service can save up to $800 when signing up for a Go5G Next or Go5G Plus plan. Or you can save $600 when adding a new line on a different qualifying service plan.
If you already have a Go5G Next or Plus plan (or switch to one), you can also save up to $800 with an eligible trade-in, which scores you the base model Galaxy S23 for free. Those on a regular Go5G, Magenta or Magenta Max plan can save up to $500 with a trade-in, or you can save up to $200 with a trade-in if you’re on another qualifying service plan.
Both new and existing customers can save up to $700 at Xfinity when trading in an eligible device. The latest iPhones will net you the biggest discount, but Xfinity also accepts models from Samsung and Google, as well as tons of smaller brands. Like most other carrier trade-in offers, the discount will be applied in the form of monthly bill credits. However, you can also choose to receive your money back in the form of a check, though it may reduce your discount a bit.
It’s also worth noting that when you activate one new line on an Unlimited plan at Xfinity, you can also get a second line on an Unlimited Intro plan free for the first 12 months. This offer isn’t required to take advantage of the trade-in deal, but is a good way to save if you need more than one new line.
Google Fi is offering new customers $500 off the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus, or $700 off the S23 Ultra with activation on a new line of service. The discount is applied via monthly bill credits over 24 months, and if you cancel service before then, you’ll have to pay the remaining balance yourself. Just note that this offer is only available to new Google Fi customers, which means those who have never had a Google Fi account before, or someone whose account has been closed for more than 180 days.
Google also has its own trade-in program where you can save up to $590 off in exchange for your old phone, with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount.
