Sting announced as Latitude Festival 2025 headliner

Music icon and legend Sting, formerly of The Police, will bring his Sting 3.0 show to Suffolk

Music legend Sting has been announced as the first headline act for Latitude Festival in 2025.

The former frontman of The Police will take to the main stage when it returns to Henham Park near Southwold in Suffolk from 24-27 July.

He is expected to perform classics including Fields of Gold, Every Breath You Take, Roxanne, Message in a Bottle and more.

Melvin Benn, festival director, said the team was excited to see the legend’s performance following the launch of his Sting 3.0 shows.

“We’re thrilled to announce Sting as our first headliner for Latitude 2025,” Mr Benn said.

“His unparalleled artistry and the exciting new direction of the STING 3.0 shows perfectly align with Latitude’s mission to deliver a rich and diverse cultural experience.

“Sting’s extraordinary ability to transcend musical boundaries and deliver unforgettable live performances makes him an exceptional addition to next year’s lineup.

“Latitude is known for captivating audiences with a mix of global headliners and emerging talent, and Sting is just the first of many incredible acts to be revealed – there’s much more to come.”

Sting is heading to Suffolk in 2025 to perform at Latitude Festival

Sting 3.0 also consists of his longtime collaborator and virtuoso guitarist, Dominic Miller, and drummer Chris Maas known for his work with the band Mumford & Sons.

Sting, whose real name is Gordon Sumner and is originally from Northumberland, formed The Police in 1977 and went on to gain huge popularity.

Following their split in the 1980s, Sting moved into a solo career.

Over the years he has amassed a series of awards, including 17 Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards and a Golden Globe.
