Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan kickstarted the dubbing works of his upcoming film, ‘Thug Life’. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film’s shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan and Simbu aka Silambarasan have been dubbing for the portions that they have completed. ‘Thug Life’ is one of the most anticipated Tamil films and is expected to hit theatres later this year. An official announcement is still awaited.
On July 29, the makers of ‘Thug Life’, announced that the lead actor had begun dubbing. The team shared a video in which Kamal Haasan can be seen making his way into the dubbing studio.
Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), one of the producers of ‘Thug Life’, shared the video with the caption, “When #Ulaganayagan voices it, the World listens! (sic).”

Similarly, on July 26, the X account of RKFI shared a photo of Simbu from the dubbing story. They wrote, “The vocal journey of @SilambarasanTR_ has commenced (sic).”

‘Thug Life’ is an action drama directed by Mani Ratnam. He and Kamal Haasan co-wrote the story of the film, which is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies.
The film features Kamal Haasan, Pankaj Tripathi, Silambarasan, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf, among others in important roles. ‘Thug Life’ has music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography by Ravi K Chandran and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
The official release date of ‘Thug Life’ is expected to be announced in the coming months.
