Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with Rashmika Mandanna, has shared his thoughts on love, relationships, and marriage. In a conversation with Curly Tales, Vijay confirmed that he is in a relationship and admitted to have previously dated one of his co-stars.
During the interview, Vijay confirmed during the interview that he is currently in a relationship, humorously adding, “I am 35 years old; you think I will be single?” He also said, ‘I have’ when asked if he has ever dated a co-star. The actor emphasised that he prefers to build a strong friendship before progressing to a romantic relationship, saying, “I don’t go out on dates. I go out only after a long time of knowing someone, after building a friendship.”
Vijay and Rashmika, who have featured together in films like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, continue to spark dating rumours due to their close bond. They often support each other on social media, further fuelling speculation. Recently, Rashmika complimented Vijay’s look in his upcoming film VD 12, and Vijay praised Rashmika following the release of the Pushpa 2 trailer.
Vijay also touced upon the topics of unconditional love and spoke about plans of marriage. The Liger actor remarked, “I know what it feels like to be loved, and I know what it is to love. I don’t know unconditional love because my love comes with expectations, so clearly my love isn’t unconditional. I feel everything is over-romanticised. I don’t even know if it’s okay to expect unconditional love.”
On the topic of marriage, Vijay expressed that it can be more challenging for women, adding, “Marriage doesn’t have to come in between someone’s career. Marriage is harder on women. It also depends on the profession you are in.”
On the work front, Vijay’s next will be Gowtam Tinnanuri of Jersey fame. Tentatively called VD12, it will have Vijay playing a spy. The period drama’s tagline, “I don’t know where I belong, to tell you whom I betrayed,” hints at what the story would be about. He will also collaborate again with Taxiwaala director Rahul Sankrityan for VD14, which is expected to be a period thriller. Vijay also has a massy film, VD15. Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, #VD15 will have Vijay in an action-packed avatar and will undergo a makeover for the rural drama.
