Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film, Dil Bechara, will release digitally on Disney+Hotstar on July 24. The film’s trailer dropped on Monday and became the most-liked trailer ever within 24 hours. Fans experienced bittersweet emotions while watching the trailer knowing that this will be the very last of Sushant Singh Rajput on the screens. The actor died by suicide on the morning of June 14. He was 34.
Apart from Sushant Singh Rajput, Dil Bechara also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi, Sahil Vaid, Saif Ali Khan, Jaaved Jaaferi and Milind Gunaji.
On his experience of working on the film with Sushant Singh Rajput, Sahil Vaid, who essays the role of Jagadeesh Pandey (JP) in the film, said, “When I limped into the office to meet Mukesh Chhabra with a broken leg, I never thought I was walking into an experience full of emotions and a journey through rediscovering so many of those emotions. Watching the trailer has somehow made me forget the whole world and has taken me back to those beautiful days we spent in Jamshedpur, memories I will cherish for as long as I live and love. I am so glad I got to work with Sushant, why glad is a very personal feeling.”
Earlier, sharing the Dil Bechara trailer on Instagram, the actor penned a long note. He wrote, “Dil Bechara!! Jo dil apne liye kum aur kisi aur ke liye zyada dhadakta hai, wo dil bechara hota hai.
“Jo dil bina kisi wajha apni khushi ko daba ke, apne yaar ki khushi ke liye muskurata hai, wo dil bechara hota hai.
“Jo dil waqt, mauka aur fayda dekhe bina kisi pe aa jata hai, wo dil bechara hota hai.
“Kizie, Manny aur JP, hum teenon ka dil bechara hai, Magar hum, kisi bhi angle se bechare nahi, zindagi jeena humein Manny ne sikhaya, ussi ne kizie aur mere dil ko, bechara banaya!! #DilBecharaTrailer Out now.”
Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, Dil Bechara is adapted from the novel The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.
