SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav tests Covid positive, asymptomatic at present

Founder of the Samajwadi Party and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav tested positive for Covid-19 today. Announcing the development through its official Twitter handle, the Samajwadi Party said doctors are monitoring Mulayam Singh Yadav.

“Founder of the Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav tested positive for coronavirus today. Doctors are monitoring his health,” the party said.

It added that at present, Mulayam Singh Yadav is “asymptomatic”.

Meanwhile, informing about his heath his son Akhilesh Yadav said the veteran politician is “stable”.

“His heath is stable. He was been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon after he tested positive for Covid-19. We are constantly in touch with senior doctors and will provide updates on his health from time-to-time,” Akhilesh Yadav tweeted.

Recently, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu also tested positive for Covid-19 and has recovered since then. Besides him, several Union ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah too have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past two months.
