Rajasthan Political Crisis Live Updates: Former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, whose rebellion against the Congress party plunged the Ashok Gehlot government in a month-long crisis, has returned to the party fold. After meeting Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and on being assured by the party that the issues raised by him and his camp of MLAs will be resolved, Sachin Pilot returned to Congress and said he had never hankered for any post and was only raising “ideological issues”. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi has formed a 3-member panel with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and KC Venugopal to address the concerns on governance in Rajasthan that were raised by Sachin Pilot and his group of MLAs. Coming out of the meeting with Priyanka Gandhi and other Congress leaders, Sachin Pilot said he and the other MLAs raised organisational issues, the case of sedition filed by the SOG and governance. Sachin Pilot expressed hope that the issues will be addressed soon. This comes ahead of the Rajasthan assembly session that will begin on August 14.
