Osmania University professor appointed member of BIS Water Quality Committee 

Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at Osmania University, Syeda Azeem Unnisa has been appointed member of Water Quality Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

BIS, the national standards body, is responsible for developing and publishing Indian Standards, implementing conformity assessment schemes, accrediting and operating laboratories for quality evaluation, among others.

In her role in BIS, Ms. Syeda Azeem Unnisa will contribute to the formulation of national water quality standards, and ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable water management practices in the country.
