Narayan Rane, senior BJP leader from Maharashtra, weighing in on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, alleged that the actor did not die of suicide but was murdered. He further claimed that tagging this as suicide, as was initially suggested by Mumbai police, points at the possibility that the Maharashtra government is trying to hide something or someone. Rane, much like the Bihar government, also recommended a CBI probe into a case of abetment of suicide against Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members.
Rane today said, “It is such an important case and all the attention has been diverted. Like others, even I say it is not a suicide, but a murder. 50 days have passed and the world-famous Mumbai police haven’t been able to search for the real culprit.”
About Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s girlfriend, Rane said, “Rhea Chakraborty was staying at Sushants residence. She shut her phone. She is one of the suspects and had gone missing and the police have no idea about it.”
Rane also claimed that the Maharashtra government is trying to protect someone. He said, “Who was threatening Sushant for more than 20 days? He was changing sims every day. Why this is not being investigated? I am sure they are trying to save someone.”
It was initially reported that there was a party at Suraj Pancholi’s place the night before Sushant Singh Rajput died, on June 13. And several Bollywood bigwigs were present. Speaking about the same, Rane said, “Why were people present at Suraj Pancholi’s house party not questioned? On June 13 there was a party.” He further added, “Who is Dino Morea? His house is some distance away from Sushant Singh Rajput’s house. Many ministers visit Dino’s house. That day, after the party, everyone left Dino’s place and headed to Sushant’s house.
Rane also feels that both Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian’s, Sushant’s ex-manager, deaths should be investigated together. “They should probe Sushant and Disha Salian case properly. Disha’s post-mortem was done on June 9, she died on June 8. The police need to investigate if she was staying with Sushant. Did the police investigate? I have information that her post mortem revealed that she didn’t commit suicide and she was killed. Why is police silent on this? This government is trying to protect those who are guilty,” Rane said.
Referring to the BMC’s move of quarantining Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, Rane said, “Mumbai police cannot give justice in the case. The Municipal Commissioner has quarantined the Bihar IPS officer [Vinay Tiwari] also.” he then went on to add, “Disha Salian’s family is under pressure, these people can quarantine an officer, then how will they be able to speak? We will submit the post-mortem report at an appropriate time. We will give the name of the minister who has helped shield the accused. [And] when he is arrested, his name will appear with his photograph.”
