NEET Results 2020 delayed: Check important highlights here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) was supposed to declare the result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 today i.e. October 12 but the date of the declaration of result has now been pushed further.

Candidates who appeared for the NEET 2020 examination will be able to check their results on the official website of NTA as soon as it is released. Students can also visit the ntaneet.nic.in for more details regarding the result and the counselling procedure.

The NEET 2020 exam was conducted on September 13, 2020, after being postponed several times due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. More than 15 lakh students had registered for the exam and nearly 90 per cent of students appeared for the exam.

NEET 2020 exam on Oct 14

The Supreme Court has stated that the NEET 2020 examination will be conducted once again on October 14 for the candidates who could not appear for the test on September 13 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The examination is being conducted again for the students who were either infected with coronavirus or had troubles reaching the centre due to residing in Covid-19 containment zones.

According to the official information, almost 90 per cent of the total registered candidates had appeared for the NEET 2020 exams. Many state governments had also provided free transportation to NEET 2020 candidates.

NEET Result 2020 on October 16

After the NEET 2020 exam is conducted for the candidate effected by Covid-19 on October 14, the final result of the entrance exam will most likely be released on October 16, 2020. Candidates will be able to check their results on ntaneet.nic.in.

The news was confirmed by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhiryal via Twitter. He stated that the NEET Result 2020 will be declared on October 16 and the exact timing will be communicated to the students soon.

Candidates are advised to keep a regular check on the official website of NTA i.e. ntaneet.nic.in for more details regarding the result of the medical entrance test.

NEET 2020 counselling details

The NEET 2020 results will be announced by NTA on October 16 and the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) will start all India quota (AIQ) NEET counselling 2020 on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes.

Candidates who will be seeking admission under the AIQ will be able to register for the counselling online after the schedule for the same is released by the authorities.

The NEET 2020 examination is conducted every year by NTA for admission into undergraduate courses offered by the medical colleges in India. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to seek admissions into medical colleges on the basis of their scores.
