Government jobs in Madhya Pradesh would now be reserved for the state citizens, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday. The legal changes regarding the reservation of government jobs for the Madhya Pradesh citizens would be introduced soon, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
The announcement that all Madhya Pradesh government jobs would now be reserved for the citizens of the state has come just three days after Shivraj Singh Chouhan said preference would be given to local youths for government jobs in the state.
Addressing a state-level Independence Day function in Bhopal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said his government was preparing a single citizenship database so that people of the state do not have to register for each scheme separately.
After promising that local youths in Madhya Pradesh would get preference for government jobs in the state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday announced all government jobs would be reserved for the citizens of the state.
“Madhya Pradesh youths will be given priority in government jobs. It is our duty to be concerned about the youths of our state at a time when job opportunities are scarce,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Saturday.
“We will put in place such a mechanism that will ensure employment to local youths on the basis of their mark-sheets of Class X and XII,” the Madhya Pradesh chief minister added.
