A law student was allegedly killed by her lover and his brother in Hyderabad’s Rein Bazar area on Saturday night. The accused stabbed the victim to death after she confronted him about their impending marriage.

A young woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her lover and his brother in Hyderabad’s Rein Bazar area.
The incident took place on Saturday night and came in light on Sunday when the dead body of the 23-year-old woman was found.
The victim, a native of the Narayankhed district, was pursuing her LLB from the Mahatma Gandhi Law College in Hyderabad and was also a volunteer with the People For Animal society.
According to police, during her time volunteering at the NGO she met accused Syed Mustafa and both reportedly started a relationship.
However, recently the man started avoiding her and on Saturday she reached his residence and confronted him about marrying her.
It led to an altercation between the couple and the accused and his brother Jameel allegedly attacked her with knives, resulting in her death.
Police have registered a case of murder and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, a few Hindu organisation have termed this murder an incident of ’Love Jihad’ and demanded strict punishment for the culprits.
