Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala on Monday defended Rahul Gandhi and added that he did not made any remark accusing senior members of the party of colluding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Surjewala was replying to a tweet by Kapil Sibal, who expressed anger on social media after it was reported that Rahul Gandhi had accused some Congress party leaders of colluding with the BJP at the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting.

“But yes, we all need to work together in fighting the draconian Modi rule rather then fighting and hurting each other and the Congress.”
Soon after it was reported that Gandhi had accused ‘dissenters’ within the party of colluding with the BJP, several leaders including Kapil Sibal slammed Gandhi on Twitter.
Sibal later deleted his tweet and said, “Was informed by Rahul Gandhi personally that he never said what was attributed to him. I therefore withdraw my tweet.”
Meanwhile, suspended Congress leader Sanjay Jha criticised Gandhi and said: “Dear Rahul Ji, if we are colluding with the BJP, then Boris Johnson is a fairness cream.”
