Father of the Hathras rape victim has said he is satisfied with the assurances given by CM Yogi Adityanath in their phone conversation and also the probe that has been done so far in the horrific gangrape case that has triggered widespread outrage across the country.

A day after the family of Hathras rape victim cried foul over the manner in which the 19-year-old woman was cremated by UP Police despite protests, her father has issued a statement saying he is satisfied with the assurances given by CM Yogi Adityanath, who spoke to him over the phone.
The father of the Hathras rape victim has also said that he is satisfied with the probe being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police and there is no need for anyone to sit on a dharna or protest.
The statement comes ahead of Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Hathras where they plan to meet the family of the Hathras rape victim. Slamming the BJP government over the rape and hurried cremation of the victim, Priyanka Gandhi has called for the resignation of CM Adityanath.
In his statement, the father of Hathras rape victim has said he spoke to Yogi Adityanath and informed him about the demands of the family who want a thorough probe in the case and justice for their daughter. He has also said that he is satisfied with the assurances given by CM Adityanath on the phone conversation.
He has further said that he is grateful to CM Yogi Adityanath for assuring to help the family as well as all those who have “extended support in these difficult times”.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi who were headed towards Hathras to meet the family, were stopped upon entering Uttar Pradesh via Greater Noida.
Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were seen marching towards Hathras after their convoy was stopped midway. Large number of supporters and Congress workers gathered at the border area and chaos followed.
