A fresh spike of 3,827 new coronavirus cases in Delhi has taken the capital’s tally over 2.64 lakh.

Delhi reported 3,827 new cases of coronavirus on Friday.
The fresh spike in cases has taken Delhi’s caseload to 2,64,450, including 2,28,436 recovered cases and 30,867 active ones.
Meanwhile, the death toll due to the virus in Delhi climbed to 5147, with 24 Covid fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. 4061 people recovered from the virus during the same times.
Official figures said that in the past 24 hours, 59,134 coronavirus tests were conducted, out of which RT-PCR tests were 11,797 and antigen tests were 47,337. The capital has so far conducted 28,15,650 coronavirus tests.
The positivity rate as per figures of the last 24 hours is 6.47 percent. Delhi’s recovery rate is at 86.38 percent and the fatality rate is 1.95 percent.
