28,637 fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported in 24 hrs across India, a record single-day spike. The total tally of confirmed cases has reached 8,49,553, according to the health ministry. As many as 551 deaths have been reported in India in the last 24 hours taking the total death toll to 22,674. While 5,34,621 cases have recovered so far, total number of active cases is 29,22,58, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. (Read full story here)
