UP Police has raised the bounty on fugitive gangster Vikas Dubey from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. This comes hours after police raided a hotel in Faridabad where Vikas Dubey was spotted. He managed to escape before the police reached him.
As the police chase intensified with teams inspecting several areas around Delhi, including Gurugram, Faridabad, the police have now raised the reward on his head to Rs 5 lakh.
Two days ago, the bounty on Vikas Dubey was increased to Rs 2.5 lakh.

On Wednesday, a close aide of Vikas Dubey, identified as Amar Dubey, was killed in an encounter in Hamirpur by the Uttar Pradesh STF that is investigating the case.
Both Vikas Dubey and Amar Dubey were involved in the killing of 8 police personnel during an encounter in Kanpur last week. The gangster and his accomplices ambushed the police team and killed 8 cops, including a DSP.
Another associate of the gangster was arrested on Wednesday in an encounter in Chaubeypur area. Vikas Dubey’s aide Shyamu Bajpai was arrested after an encounter with police in Chaubeypur area. Bajpai, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 sustained bullet injury on his leg.
The sensational killings sent shockwaves across the country and a massive manhunt with over 25 police teams have been launched to nab Vikas Dubey who has been on the run since last week.
