In a significant move to streamline property registration services, Andhra Pradesh’s Revenue, Registration, and Stamps Minister Anagani Satyaprasad will launch an online slot booking system for sub-registrar offices at the Secretariat in Velagapudi on Friday (April 04).
Starting April 4, the slot booking facility will be available in sub-registrar offices across the 26 district headquarters, with plans to gradually extend it to all 296 sub-registrar offices in the State, the Minister informed in a statement on Thursday.
The new system allows buyers, sellers, and witnesses to book an appointment through the official website of the Registration department. Users can choose a convenient date and time for their registration, eliminating the need to wait in long queues.
Officials believe this initiative will not only improve efficiency but also reduce the role of middlemen in the registration process. The government has already piloted the slot booking system in sub-registrar offices at Gandhinagar and Kankipadu, receiving positive feedback from the public.
By implementing this system, the State aims to enhance transparency, reduce delays, and make property registration more convenient for citizens, the Minister added.
