Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, shared a sweet post on Father’s Day 2024 that has resonated with many. In a heartwarming gesture, Mahindra posted a charming doodle of his father that he drew when he was just 8 years old, capturing a nostalgic moment from his childhood.
In his post, Mahindra fondly recounted the story behind the doodle. He explained how his sister, Anuja, had meticulously gone through their parents’ papers and albums over the years, sharing memorabilia that held special meaning for the family. Among her discoveries was this particular doodle, which Mahindra’s father had drawn during a visit to his office.
Mahindra reflected on the memory with great affection. He recalled how his father tried to look serious in the photograph taken at his desk. The doodle, he noted, is his most treasured portrait of his father.
“My sister Anuja has done a great job of sifting in the past years of sifting through my parents’ papers & albums & sharing memorabilia that she knew my sister Radhika & I would treasure. One of her finds was this doodle of me that my father drew when I was 8 years old & visiting his office. He tried to look serious in this photograph of him at his desk, but his humour & playfulness are what I will always remember,” the caption read.
“Happy #FathersDay dad. Keep being playful, wherever you are,” Mahindra added, conveying his admiration and love.
