Amitabh Bachchan tests coronavirus positive: Get well soon, says Bollywood

Actor Amitabh Bacchan took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The 77-year-old actor has been shifted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai’s Vile Parle area where he is undergoing treatment. “hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..Al that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!” Amitabh Bacchan said in his tweet.

People from across walks of life responded to Bacchan’s tweet and wished him a speedy recovery.

“Get well soon amit uncle. All my love and prayers,” tweeted actor Sonam Kapoor. Actor Bhagyashree added, “Get well soon Sir.. prayers for your speedy recovery.”

“You are a fighter. You will come out of this too … You win over everything.. This time too.. You will be fine Amit uncle I pray you get well soon .. back home .. safe & healthy,” Esha Deol tweeted in response to Amitabh Bacchan’s tweet.

“Praying for your speedy recovery Sir! Durga Durga!” said Bipasha Basu in a tweet. Actor Dhanush added, “Get well soon sir, my sincere prayers for your speedy recovery.”

Director Kunal Kohli responded, “Take care sir. Love you. Awaiting your tweet when you say you’re fine & going back home.”

“Jald Theek ho jaiye sir Yahi Ishwar se Prarthana hai meri, Hindustan, aur poore Vishwya ki,” Siddhant Chaturvedi said in a tweet.

Actor Dulquer Salmaan responded to Big-B’s tweet with, “Get well soon sir ! Wishing and praying for your speedy recovery !” “Praying for your speedy recovery sir,” actor Kriti Kharbanda said.

South-Indian superstar Mahesh Babu tweeted, “Get well soon sir ! Wishing you a speedy recovery…”

Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor also responded with, “Get well soon Amit Ji.”

“Oh no! Take care, Sir! Get well soon! Sending you tonnes of love and good wishes!” actor Ranvir Shorey said in a tweet. Model Sophie Choudhary said, “Get well soon sir. We all love you toooo much and are all praying for your speedy recovery.”

Cricketer Irfan Pathan tweeted, “Wishing for your speedy recovery Sir.” Wrestler Geeta Phogat added, “Wishing for your speedy recovery Sir.” Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar also responded with, “Get well soon Amit ji. Prayers for a speedy recovery from all your fans across the border.”
