Nagpur, 9th January 2023: With a presence in more than 42 cities, Eka Care will now bring its comprehensive and personalised practice management platform to the doctors of Nagpur. The Eka Care platform can be customised by the doctor according to their speciality, which would make their clinical practice easier to manage and operate.
With Eka Care, doctors can manage their appointments, digital prescription, billing, lab and pharmacy services, patients’ medical records, and their digital presence. Founded by Vikalp Sahni, Deepak Tuli, and Abhishek Begerhottain December 2020, Eka Care offers a connected healthcare ecosystem for better healthcare outcomes.
Speaking on the development, Vikalp Sahni, Founder and CEO of Eka Care, said,“We want the doctors in Nagpur to consider us as an information company and not a prescription company. We believe our technology cannot replace doctors; instead, it can aid them with the right set of information.” In the past, Vikalp has served as a member of the Industry and Academia Leadership team for the COVID-19 tracking app, Arogya Setu, and has spearheaded the technical teams of Goibibo and MakeMyTrip.
Mohit Rajpal, who is a Founding Member andheads the on-ground team for Eka Care, is geared up for the launch. “Our initial feedback from doctors has been encouraging, andwe have had fruitful discussions where our team has spent time with doctors to understand how technology can help them manage their clinical practice efficiently.”
Take Dr.Ramteke, a renowned neurologist in Nagpur, who has moved his practice to Eka Care. “With Eka’s OCR module, I can digitise, store, and search the medical history of my patients easily. The team has also helped me to customise my prescription pad according to my requirement. I can also organise all my appointments and get a holistic view of how my day looks like.”
Earlier this year, the health tech firm raised $15 million in a funding round led by Hummingbird Ventures, with participation from 3one4 Capital, Mirae Asset, Verlinvest, and Aditya Birla Ventures.
