“Give us three months and we will win the Goa assembly polls. In one and half years, AITC will oust Biplab Deb government from the state of Tripura and AITC government will be formed. Let Biplab Deb apply all his power in Tripura. We will venture into the state and establish our government in that state with the ideology of Mamata Banerjee,” Abhisek Banerjee said while campaigning in Gosaba and Khardaha, the two assembly constituencies which will go to polls on October 30.
He slammed the BJP for allegedly attacking Sushmita Dev, AITC Rajya Sabha MP, in Tripura yesterday and said, they assaulted the AITC leader and did not even spare a woman.
In 2024, BJP will be thrown out of power at the Centre and the whole country is looking forward to Mamata Banerjee, claimed Abhisek Banerjee, who is also AITC Diamond Harbour MP. “The Trinamool Congress should win the four by-poll seats with 4-0 in bengal. It is not only a victory of the by-polls but people of the country are looking forward to Mamata Banerjee as she is the future leader of the country.” In the last by-poll held on September 30, Trinamool Congress had won in all three seats-Bhabanipur, Samserganj and Jangipur. Mamata Banerjee won from the Bhabanipur seat with a record margin of more than 57,000 votes.
Slamming BJP for using central agencies even after getting defeated, Abhisek said, “I have received five summons and was interrogated for nine hours. Whatever they do, how many hours they interrogate me, I will only voice slogans for Mamata Banerjee.”
Talking about the coming by-polls, Abhisek Banerjee also urged the people not to waste their votes by casting the votes in the by-polls for BJP. Gosaba, Khardaha, Santipur and Dinhata will go to the by-poll on October 30.
Abhisek also criticized BJP for two by-polls in Dinhata and Santipur as it was necessitated by resignation of two BJP MPS who wanted to be ministers and thus resigned from their posts. “In case of Gosaba and Khardaha, the Trinamool candidates have passed away while working for the people. That is the difference between the two parties,” he mentioned.
“Gosaba is the Constituency where the Union Home Minister had come and promised to create Sunderbans as a separate district. He had promised Rs 2 lakh crore for development of the district,” Abhisek Banerjee said, as he questioned about the fund.
In the last few years, several cyclones have ravaged the area. Many dams have been washed away. He promised that the Mamata Banerjee government will work towards the development and rebuilding of the district, which has been badly affected due to several cyclones including Cyclone Amphan, Bulbul, Yass and so on.
