Ayodhya: Iqbal Ansari, one of the oldest Muslim litigants in the Ayodhya title dispute case, said he attended the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday to honour the invitation sent by the Ram temple trust.
“The Supreme Court had delivered its verdict on November 9. It’s been nine months and I am no longer fighting a case. Now, whatever is being done, including the construction of the temple, I have nothing to do with it,” Ansari, one of the 175 invitees for the ceremony, told media persons at his residence after the event.
Ansari also distanced himself from the mosque that would come up on the five-acre land given to the Central Sunni Waqf Board in Dhannipur. “I am not required there,” he said.
