Mrs Bectors raises Rs 162 crore from anchor investors ahead of IPO

Mumbai: Mrs Bectors Food Specialties raised Rs 162 crore from anchor investors on Monday, ahead of the opening of its Rs 541 crore initial opening offer.

The buns and biscuit maker allotted a total of 56,25,415 shares at Rs 288 per share to anchor investors including Nomura, Goldman Sachs India, HDFC Life Insurance Co, Sundaram Mutual Fund, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co and Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Co, among others.

Of the total anchor allotment, 29,75,850 shares were allotted to seven mutual funds who had applied through a total of 23 schemes.

The IPO that opens for public subscription tomorrow, will close on November 17, and is likely the last debutant to hit the market in 2020.

The IPO comprises an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 500 crore and a fresh issue of Rs 40.50 crore. The price band is fixed at Rs 286-288 per share.

Investors need to subscribe to a minimum of one lot of 50 shares. A retail individual investor can bid for a maximum of 13 lots or 650 shares worth Rs 1,87,200.

SBI Capital Markets, ICICI Securities and IIFL Securities are the lead managers for the offer.
