Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has threatened to take action against those who misuse social media. The state government has come up with a special cyber-crime unit.
After laying the foundation stone of Manipur state Haj House at Lilong in Thoubal district he said that decency must be maintained by one and all while using social media, abstain from uploading comments which might hurt others’ morality and image.
The CM recalled what he had announced earlier in the year 2018 the importance of the construction of Haj House in Manipur. He also proposed undertaking village and house-wise surveys to identify economically backward families so that the government may be able to extend need-based necessary support in uplifting those underprivileged.
