Berger Paints Q3 Results: Net profit declines 21% YoY to Rs 201.17 cr; revenue rises 6%

Kolkata-based today reported a 20.5% on-year decline in its consolidated net profit for the December quarter to Rs 201.17 crore . Its revenue rose 5.6% YoY to Rs 2,693.59 crore in the quarter.

The company’s EBITDA for the quarter was Rs 349.65 crore as against Rs 392.11 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year, representing a decline of 10.83%.

On a standalone basis, the net profit came in at Rs 207.10 crore as against Rs 220.29 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year, representing 5.99% decline .

Berger Paints’ earnings per share during the quarter reduced to Rs 2.07 from Rs 2.6 in the December quarter of FY22. Ahead of the announcement of the quarterly results, the company’s shares ended 1.6% lower at Rs 540.95.

The stock is now trading near its 52-week low of Rs 534.55. Trendlyne data shows that Berger Paints shares have ‘sell’ recommendations from 12 analysts and only 5 call it a ‘buy’.

The largecap company had recently appointed Kaushik Ghosh as the new vice-president.
