Mumbai , the flagship company of the Adani Group, will be included in the Nifty 50 index in place of , the National Stock Exchange said on Thursday. After , this would be the second stock from billionaire Gautam Adani‘s group to be included in the Nifty. The changes become effective from September 30.
Adani Enterprises shares rallied over 88% so far this year, while that of Shree Cement plunged 21% during this period.
NSE has also made changes to various indices as part of its periodic review. The exchange has included stocks such as
, Bharat Electronics, , , , Samvardhana Motherson and Shree Cement in its Nifty Next 50 index.
