J&K women welcome free bus travel scheme

Women of Jammu and Kashmir have applauded Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s budget announcement of free bus transport for women.
On March 7, Abdullah had announced free ridership for women on all government-owned public transport, including e-buses, starting April 1, 2025. Women believe the move will boost their confidence and mobility, and encourage their participation in education and employment.
