The BBC Director General Tim Davie was quizzed by reporters on the Gary Lineker tweet row while he was in the US.

Mr Davie was pressed by a reporter on whether Saturday’s regular Match of the Day programme will still go ahead, after pundit Ian Wright and co-presenter Alan Shearer said they would no longer be participating.
