In an exclusive interview with India Today’s Rajdeep Sardesai, Rhea Chakraborty spoke about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and said that the accusations levelled on her are completely baseless. The actress even said that she would like to know what happened to Sushant Singh Rajput between June 8 and June 14, when she was not with him. She questioned Sushant Singh Rajput’s elder sister Meetu Singh, who was with the actor from June 8 to June 13.
When Rhea Chakraborty was asked what she thought, whether Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide or it was a foul play, she said, “Even I want to know. Between [June] 8 to 14, I had no communication with him. I was not there. His sister Meetu was there. I want to know from her what happened between June 8 to 14, if it was a suicide or something else.”
The actress said that that’s the reason she asked for a CBI inquiry before the FIR was filed in Patna. “I wanted a CBI inquiry because I am unclear about the last week. I am unclear as to what exactly happened between June 8 and 14. Even I want justice for Sushant, but I am very confused. They have made a joke out of it, which is why I wanted a CBI inquiry,” Rhea Chakraborty added.
Rhea Chakraborty revealed that she wanted an ‘apex institution’ like CBI to investigate the case so that the truth regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death could come out.
