According to the doctor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s bipolar disorder had increased to an extensive level. It was increasing again and again, and Sushant thought he would never get cured. Sushant might have felt he would never recover from the disease, the Dr Suzanne Walker said in her statement.
Here is the detailed statement of Dr Suzanne Walker:
WHEN SHE MET SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT FOR THE FIRST TIME
On October 30, 2019, Dr Suzanne Walker got a WhatsApp message from a woman named Shruti, who was working for Sushant Singh Rajput. Shruti (Modi) told the doctor that Sushant is suffering from severe anxiety for the last ten days and needs immediate medical help. Dr Walker gave an appointment for November 4, 2019. The doctor asked him to come to her clinic, but Shruti cancelled the appointment on the same day.
On November 7, 2019, Rhea Chakraborty contacted Dr Suzanne Walker on WhatsApp and asked for an appointment for her friend Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea Chakraborty had said that Sushant was suffering a lot. His secretary had taken the appointment, but on the same day, as his mental condition was very bad, he couldn’t come. Hence, she had requested to give another appointment. Dr Suzanne Walker then gave another appointment for November 15, 2019. However, Rhea said that if he (Sushant Singh Rajput) got an earlier appointment, it would be very good. The doctor then asked whether Sushant is getting suicidal thoughts to which she (Rhea) responded yes. Rhea also told the doctor that he is getting treatment from Dr Nikita Shah.
Dr Suzanne Walker in her statement further said, “I felt that Mr Sushant Singh’s condition is extremely serious and he needs immediate treatment, hence I asked him to come on the date 07/11/2019 at 4:45 pm. After that I gave her my clinic address and asked her to inform about the treatment going on to Mr. Sushant Singh. After that, at approximately 4:45 pm, Miss Rhea Chakraborty and Mr Sushant Singh Rajput came to me. On that day, I had met him for the first time. I asked Rhea Chakraborty to stand outside and had a clinical discussion with Mr Sushant Singh Rajput.”
DR SUZANNE WALKER’S CONCLUSION AFTER THE FIRST SESSION
Dr Suzanne Qalker detailed her conclusions from the first meeting: “In this session, I came to the following conclusions: His anxiety had increased since the last 10 days and it would not reduce even after taking medicine. Taking a scale of 1 to 10 for anxiety, his mental condition had reached 9.
“His anxiety had increased a lot in 2013-14. When he was young, he had taken Aderol medicine, twice every week to increase his concentration, as a treatment of ADHD. He was very shy. Hence, his peers used to tease him. When he was 15 -16 years old, his mother had passed away due to panic attack. According to what he told me, he was very close to his mother. After her death, he was close to his sister, but I found him not close to his father. Mr Sushant Singh discussed about space, astronomy and physics.
“His speech and behaviour were completely irrelevant and very fast. On that, I was sure that Sushant Singh Rajput is suffering from bipolar disorder.”
Dr Suzanne Walker in her statement further stated that she learnt Sushant Singh Rajput is suffering from this disease for the past 20 years. Sushant Singh Rajput himself told Dr Walker that he suffered from the symptoms at a very young age. Similar symptoms were experienced in the years 2013 and 2014. Every time, the severity of symptoms kept increasing.
SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT WAS AWARE OF HIS DISEASE
Dr Suzanne Walker, in her statement, also said that Sushant Singh Rajput was aware about his disease. However, every time he would feel a little better, he would stop taking his medicines. He was not taking his treatment regularly. Dr Walker said that when Sushant came to her, his disease had increased to an extensive level. She said Sushant was need in of immediate treatment. She had also contacted her acquaintance, Dr Parveen Dadachandji.
Suzanne Walker, in her statement, also stated that Sushant was aware about of disease but was not ready to accept it. He wanted to get cured very soon, which was not possible.
SYMPTOMS OF BIPOLAR DISORDER
Dr Suzanne Walker, further in her statement, said, “Symptoms of bipolar disorder are chemical imbalance, spending a huge amount of money, not sleeping for four to five days, feeling a desire of losing and doing everything very quickly. In the above-mentioned session, the symptoms of speaking and thinking at a rapid pace and extreme restlessness were seen in Sushant Singh Rajput. He also used to feel that even a period of one minute is like many days, and that’s why his restlessness and fear had increased a lot.”
After that, Sushant Singh Rajput went to Dr Parveen Dadachanji, on Dr Suzanne Walker’s consultation on November 14, 2019. The next day, Dr Suzanne Walker had a discussion with doctor Parveen Dadachanji, she was also sure that Sushant Singh Rajput was suffering from bipolar disorder.
On November 15, 2019, Sushant Singh Rajput came to Dr Suzanne Walker with Rhea Chakraborty. When Sushant reached the doctor’s clinic, he had researched a lot about bipolar disorder. He was sad without any reason. Dr Suzanne Walker informed Sushant that he is suffering from bipolar disorder and he would get well once he took regular and proper treatment.
The doctor then asked Sushant to come again on November 18, 2019, for clinical examination.
Suzanne Walker also said in her statement that Sushant Singh Rajput used to cry many times. She said, “He used to cry even while talking to me many times. Also, he was feeling highly negative about himself.”
ABOUT BIPOLAR DISORDER
Doctor Suzanne Walker further explained about the disease in her statement. Her statement reads, “A chemical called serotonin is secreted from the brain of every person. lf the amount of this chemical is less in the brain, the person is extremely unhappy and he’s very happy if serotonin is more. In another way, the serotonin situation controls the mood of the person. The secretion of the chemical serotonin gets controlled due to the medicines used in the treatment of depression. Hence, he becomes extremely unhappy on a mental level in such a condition. The sad person can feel like committing suicide. Hence it is extremely necessary to keep a tight check on him apart from medication. I found out that Sushant Singh Rajput might be crying due to all these reasons.”
NOVEMBER 2019- DECEMBER 2019
On November 24, 2019, Dr Suzanne Walker called Sushant Singh Rajput for clinical examination but Rhea Chakraborty sent a text message to her, saying that Sushant’s sister is coming and he would possibly go out with her.
On December 4, 2019, Dr Suzanne Walker messaged Rhea Chakraborty, asking about Sushant Singh Rajput’s health but Rhea did not reply. This worried the doctor. She again messaged Rhea on December 5, 2019, about Sushant’s health. To this, Rhea replied that Sushant is well and has come from darkness to light due to changing the medicines. On December 7, 2019, Rhea messaged Dr Suzanne that the changed medicines are working for Sushant and they would meet her after returning to Mumbai.
JUNE 7, 2020 – JUNE 14, 2020
On June 7, 2020, Rhea once again contacted Dr Suzanne Walker that her health was not okay and she took an appointment, for herself, for the next day. However, on June 8, 2020, Rhea Chakraborty had informed Dr Suzanne Walker that Sushant had stopped taking his medicines. Rhea also said that his health was deteriorating again and she’s cancelling her appointment. Rhea further said that since Sushant’s condition had extremely deteriorated, his family members would also come home.
Based on what Rhea said, Dr Suzanne Walker said that she felt that Rhea was taking extreme care of Sushant to get him out of the disease, but as he was neglecting his disease, she had also become quite dejected.
In her statement, Dr Suzanne Walker said, “I felt that since Mr Sushant Singh had stopped taking medicines, bipolar disorder had grown to an extensive level and he might have got a relapse of the disease, because of not taking medicines, this disease keeps on growing every time and becomes even more serious, as per my experience.”
At the end of her statement, Dr Suzanne Walker said, “After that, on June 14, 2020, at 2:40 pm, Dr Parveen told me that Mr Sushant Singh has committed suicide. As for my opinion, Mr Sushant Singh had bipolar disorder and he had studied a lot about this disease. I had told him again and again that he would get cured of this disease but he thought that it is not true. Hence, he was continuously feeling that he would not recover from this disease. Overall, I feel that thinking that his family members should not suffer in the future due to this disease, instead of living with the said disease, he might have taken the decision to commit suicide, as a final resort.”
