Narrow escape for jeweller family as chopper makes emergency landing enroute Tirupati

A Tamil Nadu-based family of jewellers had a narrow escape after bad weather forced the chopper in which they were travelling to make an emergency landing in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

The helicopter was carrying seven people including two pilots.

The helicopter took off from Coimbatore and was heading to hill shrine Tirumala-Tirupati.

However, due to bad weather, it made an emergency landing at Tirupattur-Kuppam border.

The helicopter made a safe landing in fields at Nangili in Tirupati, averting any tragedy.

Locals in large number flocked to see the helicopter landing in the fields.

Upon learning the matter, Tirupati police reached the spot and examined the situation.

However, the helicopter left for Tirupati shortly after the weather improved.
