IPL 2025: Rishabh Pant celebrates comeback hundred with special backflip

Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant hit a scintillating hundred in the team’s final match of the Indian Premier League 2025. Pant tore apart Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana Stadium on May 27, completing his second century of the tournament.

Bought by LSG for a record price of ?27 crore, Pant had endured a terrible season. Low on confidence for most of the tournament, he reminded everyone of his class with a special 54-ball hundred against RCB, who were hoping to secure a top-two finish this season.

Pant struck 10 boundaries and 6 sixes en route to his century — only his second 50+ score of the season. It was arguably Pant’s finest innings in recent IPL years. His last century in the league came way back in the 2018 season, when he scored an unbeaten 128 against SunRisers Hyderabad — a knock that remains the highest individual score by a Delhi Capitals batter.

On Tuesday, Rishabh Pant celebrated his milestone with a special backflip — a first for him in a cricketing arena. With that celebration, Pant seemed to signal that he was still at his best and merely going through a temporary blip in his career.
