The Indian Army personnel realised the danger to the lives of the Chinese citizens in sub-zero temperatures and immediately reached out to them to provide medical assistance.
Indian Army rescued Chinese nationals in north Sikkim
Despite the hostilities between India and China, the Indian Army helped three Chinese nationals who had lost their way in north Sikkim. The Indian Army also provided the Chinese nationals with medical assistance, food, and warm clothes.
The three Chinese nationals had lost their way at the Plateau area of north Sikkim at an altitude of 17,500 feet on September 3, 2020.
Realising the danger to the lives of the Chinese citizens, which included two men and one woman, in sub-zero temperatures, the soldiers of the Indian Army immediately reached out to the Chinese nationals and provided them with medical assistance including oxygen.

Food and warm clothes were also provided to the three to protect them from the vagaries of extreme altitude and harsh climatic conditions.
The Indian troops also gave them appropriate guidance to reach their destination after which they moved back. The Chinese citizens expressed their gratitude to India and the Indian Army for their prompt assistance
