Mumbai Indians batsman Suryakumar Yadav roared back to form as he scored an unbeaten 79 off 47 balls to fire MI to an imposing 193 for four against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi. Yadav showcased his ability to play proper cricketing shots all around the park in his 79-run knock
Yadav, who came in to bat at No. 3 in the 5th over after the dismissal of Quinton de Kock (23), anchored the inning for Mumbai Indians when Royals spinner Shreyas Gopal struck on successive deliveries to remove Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan (0).
Yadav kept launching into the RR attack with great gusto and was particularly brutal on Tom Curran (0/33) in the 18th over that went for 19 runs.
Yadav got hit on the helmet by a nasty boundary from Jofra Archer and underwent a concussion test. However, on the very next delivery, Yadav ramped Archer for an unbelievable six over the wicket-keeper’s head. Fans and cricket experts took to social media to laud the Mumbai batsman after the end of 1st inning.
India legend Sachin Tendulkar termed Suryakumar Yadav ‘special and dangerous’ as he tweeted, @surya_14kumar is special and very dangerous because he can play on all sides of the wicket. #MIvRR #IPL2020″
