Dil Bechara trailer out: Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi take us on an emotional journey

The much-awaited Dil Bechara trailer starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi is now out. Fans had been waiting for this moment from a long time and #DilBecharaTrailer is trending on Twitter since early morning.

Dil Bechara tells the story of a star-crossed couple who fall in love but separation for them is inevitable owing to their health conditions. Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of Manny in the film while Sanjana plays Kizie, his love interest.

The Dil Bechara trailer begins with Sushant and Sanjana’s visuals being played on the screen while the actress reveals a story that her grandmother used to tell her. “Ek tha raaja, ek thi raani, dono mar gaye khatam kahaani, ” she says and further adds that such stories aren’t liked by people.

Sanjana then introduces herself as Kizie Basu, a young woman sufffering from cancer. Then we see the endearing Sushant, introducing himself as the fun-loving Manny. What follows is an emotional ride of two lovers, torn apart by fate.

From roaming together in Paris to texting each other late at night, love blossoms between the two until the inevitable happens.

AR Rahman is the music director of Dil Bechara. After the trailer release, he shared a photo of the Dil Bechara music album.

The film marks Sanjana Sanghi’s debut in Bollywood. Yesterday, a new poster of the film along with the trailer release date was unveiled. Sharing the new poster on Twitter, Sanjana had written, “Kizie is entirely incomplete without Manny. This is one of my favourite shots, so surreal and dreamlike. The #DilBechara trailer will be out tomorrow. You all? Stay tuned.”

Dil Bechara is the official Hindi remake of 2014 Hollywood blockbuster, The Fault In Our Stars. The film is based on the best-selling novel by John Green of the same name.

Dil Bechara marks Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ever. The actor died by suicide on June 14 and his death had sent shockwaves across the nation. He was 34 at the time of death.

To honour the late actor, Dil Bechara is available free of cost for all. The film releases digitally on Disney+Hotstar on July 24.
