The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI (M)] has reconstituted its Alappuzha district secretariat. The 12-member panel includes four new faces: K.R. Bhageerathan, V.G. Mohanan, A.M. Ariff and K.G. Rajeshwari.
The other members are party district secretary R. Nazar, K. Raghavan, G. Harishankar, M. Sathyapalan, H. Salam, P.P. Chitharanjan, A. Mahendran and Manu C. Pulickal. G. Rajamma, K. Prasad, K.H. Babujan and G. Venugopal, who were members of the previous panel, were not included in the new secretariat.
The selection of new secretariat members was made at a meeting attended by CPI (M) State secretary M.V. Govindan.
