CM to open Kudumbashree’s 27th anniversary fete on Saturday

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the 27th anniversary celebrations of the Kudumbashree Mission and give away the Kudumbashree State-level awards in the State capital on Saturday afternoon.

The Chief Minister will also make an announcement on providing livelihood to three lakh people as part of the Kudumbashree Livelihood Initiative Transformation (K-LIFT) that had been announced in the 2024 Budget. Minister for Local Self-government M.B. Rajesh will preside over the event, to be held at Tagore Theatre, Vazhuthacaud, at 3 p.m.

Green fellowships

Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty will inaugurate the distribution of ‘green fellowships’ being given to children who presented best papers at the Kudumbashree’s ‘International Children’s Summit on Zero Waste Management,’ in association with the Udhyam Learning Foundation. Minister for Food and Civil Supplies G.R. Anil will be the chief guest.

A video on the model activities that won the Kudumbashree’s State-level awards will be screened on the occasion.

Shashi Tharoor, MP; Mayor Arya Rajendran; and MLAs V.K. Prasanth and Antony Raju will be present. Kudumbashree executive director H. Dineshan will welcome the gathering.
