PM Modi to address party workers on BJP’s 41st foundation day on Tuesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address BJP workers through video conferencing on Tuesday on the 41
st foundation day of the party.

This will be the second year in a row the PM will make a virtual address on the foundation day. Last year there was a nationwide Covid lockdown in force on April 6, and Modi had preferred to address virtually.

Before PM’s address, BJP national president JP Nadda will address party workers. All the senior BJP leaders would reach the party office in the morning and the program shall start after flag hoisting.

  • BJP has made widespread arrangements across the country for party workers to listen to Nadda and Modi’s speech.

“Large screens would be put up at Mandal level so that party workers can watch the address,” Anil Baluni, chief spokesperson and media in-charge of BJP told ET. “Party workers will discuss the public welfare measures taken by the Modi government especially for the poor. As always, there would be different Sewa programs across the country on the foundation day.”

With the party deciding to increase its connection with grassroot workers, PM Modi is likely to address the lower-level workers of the party. Post the program, Modi would leave for West Bengal for an election campaign.

BJP was founded on April 6 in 1980 in Mumbai. The 40
th Foundation day celebration was a lowkey affair due to the rising Covid cases. “ The cases are rising again and party workers would strictly follow Covid guidelines while doing Sewa work,”Baluni added.
